I bring the Oceanears DRS-8 underwater sound system and play music directly into your pool. Guests hear the music beneath the surface, sharing the experience without wearing headsets.
A custom soundscape or live DJ set can invite playful movement, a sense of adventure, or a quieter moment of listening. Music above the surface can be arranged too.
Headsets are an optional add-on for individual listening beyond the shared pool experience.

I’m Alex, your aquatic Dance guide and DJ. I introduce guests to movement in the water, with simple invitations to explore rhythm, play, and connection. The experience can unfold into a custom soundscape or live DJ set, with space to swim, move freely, or listen.

A SubMergence event brings music and movement into your pool day. It is not a replacement for lifeguards, swim ability, or your property's water-safety practices.

Do guests need to wear headsets?
No. The Oceanears DRS-8 underwater speaker plays the music directly into the water, so guests can listen together without wearing headsets. Headsets are only an optional add-on for individual listening.
What is a SubMergence experience?
A custom gathering built around underwater music, movement, and discovery. I bring the underwater sound system and offer guided aquatic Dance, custom soundscapes, and live DJ sets. Guests can swim, explore, move, or listen together. We shape the sessions around your setting and your guests.
Is it safe to play music in our pool?
Yes. I bring low-voltage, GFCI-protected gear and handle setup and teardown, and the session works alongside your lifeguards, pool rules, and normal guest supervision. Underwater sound systems are well established in aquatics — the same approach used for synchronized swimming, water ballet, and diver-recall systems.
Are you insured?
Yes. SubMergence carries its own event insurance, and we can name your property as an additional insured for the event.
Is it family-friendly?
Yes. I offer family-friendly sessions and adults-only experiences, with music and guided movement shaped to the group. We can plan playful discovery, quieter listening, or both across the day. Your normal pool rules and guest supervision still apply.
What does a custom event cost?
Each event is planned around your setting, guest count, timing, and the mix of guided movement and music you want. Share your idea through the enquiry form and we will discuss the scope and cost together.
Can guests take the music into the ocean?
Yes — with the optional ocean-friendly headset, a guest can carry the music from the pool straight into the surf.
Do you travel to properties beyond Kaua'i?
Yes. SubMergence is based on Kaua'i and serves islands worldwide. Travel and accommodations are arranged for each event. Tell us where you want to gather and we will shape the possibilities together.
